Journal Citation Reports
Journal Citation Reports is a product created by the makers of Web of Science. JCR aggregates article-level citation data to create assessment metrics for journals.
The most well-known of these measures is the journal Impact Factor which is based on the number of citations to articles over the previous two years.
JCR is available online in a Science Version and a Social Science version. Journals are grouped into subjects and it is possible to obtain a list of journals by subject and then rank the list by Impact Factor.

Journals with high impact factors are considered the most prestigious. However, impact Factor, because it is based on citation data, bears some of the same issues with respect to use and misuse as an evaluation tool.
See this fact sheet about Journal Citation Reports and other tools provided by ISI/Thomson for analyzing research performance.
